Ready for Take Off!

Who am I?

I’m Alyssa – a writer, blogger and certified geek from Canada. After several years on hiatus, I have returned to the blogosphere to share my adventures as a writer and creative. My journey thus far has me interested in the intersection of lifestyle and creativity. What makes someone more productive and creative? How can one make a comfortable living without sacrificing their creativity or artistic vision? I firmly believe you can live a creative life and have the lifestyle you have always wanted while doing what you love. And I am starting this blog to prove that.

What’s this thing about, anyway?

Besides the occasional update on my writing journey, and any helpful tips or quips on narrative, I want to explore the different facets of living a creative lifestyle – how to be more creative, more productive, how your lifestyle impacts your creative journey, etc. I want to help other writers and creatives find that balance and reach their goals. But as a creative myself, I want to celebrate what I enjoy and what inspires me and encourage others to do the same. I can get pretty enthusiastic, so I hope you’ll forgive me for indulging my inner geek.

If you want to know more about me, head on over to my about page, or you can find me on tumblr, twitter and instagram. I am currently working towards publication of my first novel, an adult fantasy tentatively titled The Wolves of the Far North. You can find out more about my writing over at my works in progress.
