Yes, I was tagged back in February. And I meant to post my response in February, too. But life was topsy-turvey at the time, so I got myself back on track, only for this pandemic to hit and life went all topsy-turvey again.
But I did it! At last, I’m doing the Real Neat Blog Award – I was nominated by Megan @ A Geeky Gal which was such a surprise and also really exciting for me because I’ve been following Megan’s blog for a while and I really enjoy her content! Megan is a geek blogger, and at A Geeky Gal you can find reviews, anime, video games, and posts on virtually all aspects of geek culture, like cosplay, conventions and geek fashion! She also does geeky 30-day challenges which are my favourites! Her blog is a ton of fun, so you should go check her out!
- Display the Award Logo.
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and post a link to their blog.
- Answer the questions of the one who nominated you.
- Nominate 7-10 bloggers.
- Ask them seven questions.
What is your love language?
I had to look this up if that gives you an idea of how much love and romance play into my life, haha! I’m not terribly familiar with what these mean, but I would go with acts of service.
What is something you are looking forward to?
Back when I was first tagged I would have said Animal Crossing New Horizons. In the midst of this pandemic, though, I can say I’m looking forward to when everything goes back to normal. I miss going to write in a coffee shop or spending my time at the library or the book store. I would like to be able to visit friends and family without worrying about their safety, or the safety of their loved ones.
On a lighter note, I guess, I’m really looking forward to publishing my first book! I’ve wanted to publish for years now, and self-publishing has been something I’ve been looking into for a while. It felt like a distant dream until the last year or so where I’ve really made strides to get my first book out there. So I’ll be really excited to share my work with everyone!
What is a quality you most admire in others?
I always appreciate it when someone is not afraid to speak their mind. I also admire people with the willpower and self-discipline to go after what they want. It’s easy to say you’re going to do something, but actually going through with it takes a lot of courage and discipline. It’s something I’m constantly working on improving, and I greatly admire anyone who can.
What is a quality you most admire in yourself?
I think I’m really good at coming with ideas. Maybe too much so. I always have some idea for a new blog post, or writing project, or some crazy video game challenge. I like that I’m always open to and able to brainstorm new content. Now, if only I could get some more self-discipline…
Let’s check in: how are your goals for 2020 going?
I set three main goals for myself in 2020, and thus far my progress has not been great. But to be fair, the year is not going how I expected it to. I think I’m staying fairly on track despite everything that’s going on. I’ve already technically failed one of my goals – to publish something every quarter, and I’m trying not to let that drag me down too much. There’s still three quarters of the year to go and a lot more opportunity to achieve what I set out to!
Three celebrity crushes!
I don’t have any! I don’t follow celebrity culture all that closely, and even if I happen to be a fan, they’re just people like us. I’m also not the type to develop a crush on someone I don’t know.
How do you feel about Valentine’s Day?
As I am currently a single pringle, I don’t think much of it. I do think it’s a bit commercial, but it’s nice that people have a day to show the people in their lives, especially their SOs, that they love and cherish them. I’m of the opinion that it should be something you show to people all year round, and not save for a single day, but we lead hectic lives. It really does feel like the modern world exists on fast forward, so we don’t always have those opportunities. At least we know Valentine’s Day comes every year!
That’s all of the questions! Thank you so much for tagging me, Megan!
Now it’s my turn to tag some bloggers and ask some questions.
- Krista @ LeeksPlays
- The Brink of Gaming
- Jen @ Jen Writes
- M.L. Davis @ Uninspired Writers
- Madeline Bartson @ Happy When Writing
I’m a little short on people to tag. I did some searching and most of the people I follow have already done it! If I missed you and you want to fill out these questions, go for it!
- What’s your favourite thing about blogging?
- Share a post you are particularly proud of!
- Tell us about one of your hobbies!
- What is your beverage of choice?
- What is one tip you would give to yourself when you were just starting your blog?
- How do you stay motivated?
- What are three of your favourites of 2020 so far?
If these tags aren’t your thing, that is totally fine! Don’t feel pressured to have to answer these! And I get that stuff like this might not mesh well with your blog platform or aesthetic. Just know that I really enjoy your blogs! But if you do decide to give these questions a shot, I’d love to see your answers. Make sure to link me in your post, or leave a link in the comments below so I can check it out if you do!
Stay safe, everyone!
