We are about half way through the month now, and I’m realizing as I wade through all of my notes that I am possibly in over my head.
Days 1 to 7 of July Camp are over so let’s take a look at how much (or how little) I managed to do in the first week of Camp NaNoWriMo!
Writing is hard. And despite being an avid consumer of fantasy fiction, crafting a magic system of my own has presented me with some difficulties.
While choosing a novel to write has been something of a struggle, I have been working on some short story ideas about the Inquisitor of Darrmun.
I haven’t missed a NaNo session (Camp or otherwise) in many years, so this decision comes with a heavy heart.
I’ve made it pretty clear that I hope to be a published author, but there’s a lot more that goes into that than simply writing a book. Or maybe I’m overthinking things.
Last year was chaotic and it was impossible to settle into a routine, but now that I’m settling into a more ‘routine’ life, I find my writing habits are lacking.
The third week is now over, and we are so close the end. Unfortunately, this is where I make a hard decision.
It has not been a great week 2 for me, but that has historically been the case so I’m not surprised. Been pretty rough as they go, but I’m still optimistic I can win NaNoWriMo.
The first week of NaNoWriMo 2019 is over and man has it been a weird one. I’ve had a few ups and lots of downs, and I’m really just trying to find a process that works for me this time around.
